This new, more modern set of kitchen cabinets was built in East Calais, VT in our facility and then delivered and installed in Sunapee, NH.

The existing layout was too cluttered and dark for the space. So we shrank the island by 24" and removed the tall cumbersome pantry near the stove, to help the whole room flow much better.

This project replaced an existing kitchen that was built in the early 80’s when the home was built. We removed the upper soffit ( which was common in the 80’s) and replaced it with glass pane cabinets for display. The finish is a solid white lacquer with a satin sheen. There are 2 hidden doors on the back side of the island that are incorporated into the paneling for easy access from the dining area. One for access to the corner space and one for access to a liquor cabinet.

These cabinets were built in conjunction with New Frame Works as part of a larger home renovation. The cabinet faces are hard maple with a white wash finish. The island counter and floating shelves are solid cherry with a hand rubbed oil finish. The floating shelf above the sink is built-in as part of the window sill.

This kitchen remodel involved moving some components of the kitchen around. We removed the island and extended the counter to include 2 peninsulas. This involved moving a sliding porch door and adding a window. We also moved the refrigerator to the opposite wall, and added lots of drawers! Finally, we extended the upper cabinets all the way to the ceiling and added the cabinet lights.

This project was part of a new home built by New Frame Works. Along with the kitchen cabinets we also built some cabinet storage and shelves underneath the stairs just across from the open concept kitchen. The stair shelves, island counter top and some floating shelves are all solid cherry with a hand rubbed oil finish. The seating area counter is supported by 3 hemlock beams to tie into the exposed timber frame of the home.
